Receivings records goods physically arriving at a location. An arrival is deliberately its own document rather than part of the order: one order can be filled by several deliveries, and a delivery can arrive with no order behind it at all — a walk-in, an emergency restock, or stock from a different supplier. Completing the arrival is the moment stock levels rise and the item's cost is brought up to date.
A missing item means another system has it and QIIUB does not yet — not a commitment to build it. The scorecard calls this a comparison map, not a backlog.
Receivings owns the arrival document, its lifecycle, and the act of posting an arrival into stock. It does not own the order status that posting drives, sending stock onward to stores, supplier invoicing, later corrections to the figures, or the supplier and product records it refers to.
